History of the area

1700 - 1800

1700 After an initial use as hunting grounds, the first avenues for draining the land were created. These will give direction to the future avenues of this district.

1742 The Tiergarten becomes a park. Tiergartenstraße is completed. At the south of the boulevard, the first summer residences of Berlin's citizens start being built.
